Core aeration is one of the most requested lawn services in Effingham County — and most homeowners have no idea who to call for it. You aerate in late spring through summer for warm season grasses like bermuda and zoysia, and again in early fall. The Billy Goat core aerator is self-propelled and manageable for a single operator. A standard residential yard takes 30–45 minutes. Stack six to eight yards on a Saturday and you've had a very productive morning.

• 5x8 Utility Trailer — to haul the aerator to the job

TRANSPORT NOTE

Requires a vehicle with a trailer hitch to tow the 5x8 utility trailer.

WHAT YOU CAN CHARGE

Residential aeration runs $75–$150 per yard depending on size. Larger properties and commercial accounts command more.

INCOME POTENTIAL

$450–$1,200 per Saturday. A part-time operator with a solid client list can earn $2,000–$4,000 per month during peak season.
